My aim is to make your wedding day everything you wished for, happy, relaxed, beautiful, fun and memorable.
It is wonderful to be asked to marry a couple that want to declare their love for each other in front of their closest family and friends or in private. Either way, every ceremony is beautiful and exciting. Every time I prepare and execute a wedding I feel honoured and humbled at the same time.
I have the utmost respect for you both and put my whole heart into every service. I go to great lengths to make sure that the service we write is exactly how you want it. My job as your celebrant is to also create the sense of romance and at the same time intimacy between you both. Yes even in front of everyone, we create a special space so that you feel that it is just the two of you facing each other, declaring your love out loud.
I am always immaculately dressed and make sure my outfit won’t clash with your wedding party. I also make sure that I am not always, front and centre of your photos. Sometimes I need to be in the front but it is your day and your photos. I am very mindful of this during the service.
I love people and being a wedding celebrant allows me to meet many new happy people.
The process in a nut shell:
After you have made the initial contact we agree on a suitable time for us to meet and discuss your plans. It is a very informal meeting so that you can decide if I am the celebrant you would like to officiate on your wedding day.
Once you have decided that I am the celebrant you feel comfortable with, I then will require a 50% deposit to be paid. This will secure your required date. (The balance is due and payable 2 weeks prior to your wedding date). At this time we complete the NOIM (Notice of intention to marry document). I will require you to bring your Birth certificates, Passports, Divorce certificates, Death Certificates etc. and any other legal documents that are required for your wedding.
We then start to write your service. This is normally done via phone and email. We keep at it until it is exactly how you want it.
I do try to have all of this completed and signed off 1 month prior to the wedding date. You have so much to do in the last month so lets get this out of the way.
